Harmonizing Space: Hannah Villa
Creating Tranquility Amidst Urban Chaos
The Hannah Villa project, undertaken by Eade Va Ejra, was born out of the desire to provide a serene retreat for a multi-generational family away from the hustle and bustle of Tehran. Located in Hashtgerd, an area known for its high density and compactness due to its proximity to Tehran, the project involved the construction of two villas on adjacent plots of land, each measuring 650 square meters. To maximize space and greenery, the decision was made to merge the two villas into one cohesive structure, allowing for ample open space and lush greenery surrounding the residential area. The project’s volume is characterized by two overlapping cubes, creating a harmonious blend of simplicity and functionality.
Striving for Simplicity and Privacy
The design of Hannah Villa focuses on achieving external simplicity while maintaining internal excitement. The overlapping cubes create a spacious terrace on the first floor, with a pool enclosure located underneath. However, due to the density of the surrounding area and the lack of privacy, particularly around the pool area, adjustments were necessary to ensure the stakeholders’ privacy. After careful consideration, it was decided to relocate the pool from the exterior to the interior of the villa. This not only guarantees year-round use of the pool but also ensures privacy for the family members, making the pool an integral part of the interior space.
Enhancing Quality of Life
By reimagining the spatial configuration and organization of the villa, Eade Va Ejra has succeeded in creating a tranquil oasis for the multi-generational family. The strategic placement of the pool and terrace, combined with thoughtful design elements, enhances the quality of life for the residents, providing a peaceful retreat amidst the urban chaos. Through careful consideration of privacy concerns and a commitment to maximizing green space, Hannah Villa exemplifies the harmonious integration of architecture and nature, offering a sanctuary for generations to come.
