Embracing Leisure and Tranquility: The Janeiro Hotel
Nestled amidst the breathtaking backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and the Cagarras Islands archipelago, the Janeiro Hotel is a sanctuary designed for leisure and relaxation. The project’s concept was inspired by its spectacular location, offering guests a sweeping vista of the natural landscape.
Harmonizing with Nature
At the heart of the design philosophy is a commitment to integrating with the surrounding environment. The use of natural and organic materials, such as Freijó wood and travertine marble, imbues the space with warmth and tranquility. Horizontal and vertical planes define the architectural ensemble, while linear elements and slatted panels create a sense of rhythm and movement.
Enhancing Outdoor Connections
The architecture of the Janeiro Hotel prioritizes connections to the outdoors, with expansive openings that invite the outside in. From the sandy texture of travertine marble to the sweeping vistas from the infinity pool, every element is carefully curated to enhance the guest experience.
Organic Elements and Fluid Forms
A highlight of the design is the loose spiral staircase, reminiscent of a ribbon tape, which gracefully ascends to the upper floor lookouts. Floating walls and linen curtain planes filter natural light, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. Round openings, a recent addition to the architect’s repertoire, offer glimpses of iconic Rio de Janeiro landmarks, such as the majestic Dois Irmãos mountain complex.
A Sanctuary of Serenity
In every detail, from the choice of materials to the layout of the space, the Janeiro Hotel is designed to evoke a sense of tranquility and relaxation. Whether lounging by the infinity pool or taking in the panoramic views from the lookout points, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro.
