The architects faced the challenge of reconciling the mall’s cold materiality with the warm, organic essence of Haight’s brand identity. Through a deliberate strategy of contrast, the store emerges as a beacon of warmth and authenticity amidst the rigid environment of the mall.
Seamless Integration
The design blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior, inviting patrons into a fluid and inviting space. A large opening at the entrance eliminates barriers, symbolizing the fusion between the store and its surroundings.
