Rediscovering Meshersky Forest A Blend of Nature and Recreation
Introduction
Meshersky Forest, spanning a 10-hectare area in the Moscow region, stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of sports, children’s areas, and natural landscapes. Developed by our bureau, the park aims to provide an immersive experience in nature while catering to various recreational needs.
All-Season Recreational Spaces
The park offers all-season spaces for active sports, including running, rollerblading, biking in summer, and skiing in winter. Additionally, it provides ample opportunities for leisurely walks, catering to individuals, couples, families, and friends. Play areas are meticulously designed to accommodate children of all ages, ensuring their needs and interests are met.
Blending with Nature
Recognizing the inherent beauty of nature, our goal was to establish a profound and safe relationship with it. We carefully distributed pedestrian, cyclist, and skier flows throughout the park, enhancing existing sites with decking for relaxation. Visitors now have designated areas for various activities, whether it’s practicing yoga, running, strolling by the lake, or fishing.
Children’s Playgrounds: “City of Birds” and “Anthill”
We designed and constructed two distinctive children’s playgrounds: “City of Birds” and “Anthill.” These playgrounds seamlessly integrate with the natural environment, featuring wooden birdhouses and anthill towers. The design encourages imaginative play, allowing children to experience the sensation of speed and soaring over the forest.
The Anthill Playground
Inspired by the lifestyle of ants, the Anthill playground offers various activity rooms, including swings, carousels, hut-building areas, and a massive anthill for active games. The towers, shaped like anthills, feature mesh tunnels and slides, providing a unique and immersive play experience.
Site Integration and Marker
The towers serve as a prominent feature in the forest landscape, visible from walking trails, guiding youngsters toward adventure. Additionally, low houses and slopes with natural elements enhance the overall concept of the site, encouraging exploration and interaction.
Conclusion
Meshersky Forest stands as a testament to our commitment to creating immersive and sustainable recreational spaces. Each visit to this special place, whether for work or leisure, leaves a lasting impression, reflecting the seamless integration of human activity and natural beauty.
